Propagate snake plant or dracaena trifasciata by dividing the rhizome

Snake plants (dracaena trifasciata / sansevieria) can easily be propagated by cuttings or by dividing the rhizome. Snake plant is an evergreen perennial low maintenance, low light indoor house plants in the family Asparagaceae and native to tropical West Africa from Nigeria east to the Congo. It's also known as snake plant, mother in law's tongue, dracaena trifasciata, golden hahnii snake plant and sansevieria trifasciata.
